History of JCT

JCT is a family run business.  It's named after my three grandsons; future racing superstars.
I got my start in auto racing in 1959 with a 1946 Ford coupe Flathead V8.  My four sons started racing in the back woods and fields of Harriman NY in 1985.  Those were the good old days when racing was simple and fun and I always knew where my kids were.
I raced a 1967 Chevy with my brother at Mt Cleams Michigan Speedway and won our class championship.  We raced at many tracks in the northeast and Canada; from open wheeled dirt modifieds to sprints and full body L/M cars.  We were lucky to work with some of the best chassis builders and set-up people in auto racing.

In 1980 we owned and raced modifieds.  We raced dirt tracks in the northeast and Canada.
In 1990 my sons and I founded JCT motorsports racing school.  That year we built a 1979 Camaro street stock.  We raced it at Orange County Speedway in NY.  In 1992 we won the Rookie Street Stock Championship against 57 other teams.  We joined forces with other teams like Barry Filipowski and won the 1995 championship .  We won the first pro-stock series for the new class Pro-stocks at Orange Co. Speedway.  We worked on set-ups with 2 other teams street stocks and modifieds.

We started the Northeast Pro-stock and Street stock Association in 1995 with the help of Cory Reed and Dirt Motorsports.  Fourteen years later we have 3,867 members.

In 1996 we won the Pro-stock rookie championship with #16 Willy Auchmoody.
In 1998 we teamed with racing veteran  Tom Kuck #79 and won the 1999 Super Dirt Trail Championship and the 2000 track championship at Orange co. Speedway.
